Tranquility

Yeah, today's pretty much one of those days...where I could sign off and sail away to my own private island.  Is it too much to ask for a little peace and quiet?!  I'm pretty sure the little people in my life wouldn't have it, but I could SO get swept away in the thought.  And the photo is just fuel to my fantasy... One day.  For now, I'll just enjoy the pretty pretty picture...and dream. :)

Client: Beach Bungalow Designs

I am thrilled to share with you the latest Stauros Creative blog design created for local Interior Designer, Beach Bungalow Designs.  Their star designer, Tritia Gustine, is a longtime friend of mine and when she approached me to help her create a blog, I was delighted!  I couldn't wait to help her establish a blog presence.  You can check out the blog here.

Organized Creativity

Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember the thrill of creating.  Art, crafts, design projects...it always looked different.  But there was no doubt the creative flourished.  One day I was going to be a children's book author and illustrator, the next, a famous interior designer, and the next, a party planner.  {Old habits are hard to break...}

As I grew, I became a very organized person.  Everything had a place and a place for everything.  But for me, the organization had to be creative.  Beautiful.  Whatever it was that I was "organizing" at the time, was an art form to me.  It was something I could design and make pretty.  A tidy wonder.

When the time came to consider my future, my career, that thing I would do when I grew up, I was told I could never have a real creative job.  Because I was organized.  Creativity + Organization couldn't go hand in hand.  If I really wanted to be a successful creative, I'd have to be an unorganized mess.  And if I wanted to be organized, well then I just would never be creative enough.

I wish I could go back and tell that individual a thing or two.  To tell my young self that a person in fact could be organized and creative.  To tell myself then what I know now.  And to give me the confidence to dream.  BIG.

The good thing about all of this is that I've finally arrived.  I know what I want to be when I grow up.  I am confident about what I was created to do.  And no one is going to convince me otherwise.  I'm living the dream, or pursuing it anyways.

That's why I created Stauros Creative.  A boutique marketing and events agency specializing in high-end creative for the design world.  Representing interior and fashion designers, artists, photographers, stylists and event planners. We do everything from logo and brand development, to marketing strategy, PR, website and blog design, content development, social media marketing and corporate events.

Running a business, writing, executing creative vision, developing marketing strategy.  I'm lucky my work allows me to blend my passions. I call it organized creativity.  And I love every bit of it.
